Getting Married in Seychelles - FAQ

Whether you are planning an intimate ceremony for two or a festive celebration with family and friends, we have a great selection of venues to suit your needs. Our couples have the opportunity to walk down an aisle of white sand and wed beneath gently swaying palm trees or to exchange vows on the shores of the hotel’s beach front.

However, you envisage your wedding ceremony, the wedding planner and the wedding coordinator of Le Repaire Boutique Hotel are on hand to make it happen.

To ensure your wedding at Le Repaire Boutique Hotel is completely trouble-free, scroll down to view the answers to some of our couples’ most commonly asked questions.

Where can we host our wedding?

We have a variety of venues in remarkable locations to suit your vision for your wedding. Whether you would like to exchange vows on the beach or in our tropical garden, we have the perfect venue for you: Anse Source d’Argent, Anse Severe, Grande Anse or in our beach front.

What happens in the event of rain?

As Seychelles’ weather can be unpredictable, we always have a back-up venue in mind, in case it rains at the last minute. During your meeting with your wedding planner, you will be shown our other elegant indoor venues and briefed about our contingency plans for last-minute venue changes.

Is my wedding legal in the country where I reside?

Our experienced wedding planner will guide you through the legal processes and requirements to formalize your marriage. Your marriage in Seychelles will be attested by an Apostille Certificate, which is legally binding in all countries which are a member of The Hague Agreement. Please confirm that your country of residence recognizes this agreement before your departure for Seychelles.

If your country of residence is not a member of The Hague Agreement, you will need to visit your country’s closest embassy to have your marriage certified. Please note: there may not be an embassy in Seychelles.

In order to secure the Apostille Certificate, you will need to provide us with the following documents no less than one month before your ceremony: certified copies of your passport, birth certificates, and proof of divorce or death, in the case of divorcees and widow/widowers. We will forward these to the Seychelles Civil Office on your behalf.

When will I receive my marriage certificate?

Provided you do not require your marriage to be certified by an additional embassy, your marriage certificate will be ready within three to four working days after the ceremony. In the case your hotel departure is before the receipt of the marriage certificate, it will be sent to you via DHL to your postal address (additional delivery fees will apply).

Who will assist with my wedding when I arrive?

Upon arrival at the hotel, our wedding coordinator will organize a meeting with your dedicated wedding planner at your convenience to confirm all the final details of your wedding. After this, our team will help you prepare for and arrange all aspects of your wedding, ensuring a perfect day. Our wedding coordinator will be your dedicated point-of-contact to address all of your concerns throughout your entire stay.

If you have any further questions or special requests, our wedding coordinator will be delighted to help. Contact us at guests@lerepaireseychelles.com or via phone and WhatsApp on +248 2517883.
